Cyprus Donkey Sanctuary is an non-profit organization that provides care and/or a permanent home for donkeys and mules on Cyprus in need of help through ill health and maltreatment.

It's located in Pano Kivides, a village of Limassol region. The organisation is a subsidiary of The Donkey Sanctuary UK, which was founded by Dr Elizabeth Svendsen in 1969. It is the largest donkey charity in the world which now operates in 27 countries worldwide. 

The Donkey Sanctuary (Cyprus) is the only animal welfare organisation in Cyprus dedicated solely to the welfare of donkeys and mules. They currently take care of almost 100 donkeys who live in our three Holding Bases.
