Near the Mahairas monastery is the picnic area Kionia. You take the road of Kapedes to the Mahairas Monastery and 1km before the monastery, turn left to Kionia. It is 6km from the Monastery and 14km from Kapedes.
The site is located at an altitude of 1340m from the sea and has a capacity of 550 persons. It has space for lighting fire, tables, toilets and drinking water.
From the picnic area the Nature Trails Kionia-Prophet Elijah and G.Taramidi are crossing.
