Archontiko Misirlou

Archontiko ”I Misirlou” was the ancestral home of Catherine Dragou and Elia Triselioti, a red brick manufacturer. The house, located on the main street of Kalopanayiotis, was constructed from Elias’ red bricks.

The top floor of the building once housed the renowned “Elias café” best remembered for its traditional doughnuts. The residence is located on the main street of Kalopanayiotis and provides panoramic views of the Marathasa valley and St. John’s Lambadistis monastery.

It was renovated in 2011, following the high standards set by the Rural Development Funding Program for traditional residences.

Capacity/Facilities:
The building now consists of two self-contained two-bedroom houses with a fireplace and one studio.

Both houses and the studio include: hot and cold air A/Cs, fully equipped kitchen, living room and veranda furniture, LCD TV, DVD player, electric towel heaters, hair dryers, refrigerator, oven, ceramic hobs and all modern conveniences.

Optional additions include a jacuzzi bathtub, extra bed.

Baby cot for all apartments available, can be provided upon request free of charge.

Complementary fire wood is provided for the first use!

Nearby activities:
Visit the Monastery of St. John Lampadistis, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site the Icon museum the Lavrentios house-museum, and the six Byzantine churches.

Walk through nature trails or along the river and experience the natural flora of the mountainous region. Visit the natural sulphur springs, known for their special healing properties, the Venetian stone bridge and the traditional stone built Kykkos Watermill. Drink fresh mountain water from the old taps.

Quad bike safari through the surrounding areas and enjoy the scenic views and adventurous routes.

Go fishing at Kalopanagiotis dam and visit the fishery. Join in organized excursions to nearby villages with a traditional Bedford bus (upon request). Relax and enjoy a Spa treatment using modern facilities at Casale Panayiotis
